New York was amazing, like 100% amazing, I wish I could go back already (except I spent ALL my money there!)
Lush cupcakes! The chocolate one was from Babycakes (248 Broome St, New York, NY 10002, USA) which is the most adorable little cupcake shop, so I almost feel bad to say the Red Velvet on from Starbucks tasted better, the frosting was so yummy.
Eating pancakes for breakfast everyday was the best, I’m sure gonna miss Aunt Jemima’s syrup!
Shopping in NY is awesome, shame the exchange rate ain’t what it used to be but oh well! When I get round to unpacking my wonderful purchases I’m sure some photos of them will find their way onto my blog!
The cutest little display inside Forever 21 (I officially LOVE this store!) this photo doesn’t show it off to the best, but all the butterflies are made from book pages…it’s so pretty! I would have taken photos of more but the big, scary security guard told my friend off for taking photos and I didn’t want him to make me delete the one I already had.
Me and the boy on top of the world <3 (well the Rockefeller at least!) I don’t know what I would have done without him to hold my hand on the plane, I am so scared of flying!
Anywho, that’s all for now, I’m off to sleep off the jet lag!

Tomorrow night I’m off to the Big Apple for a week…so excited! So, the blog posts will be on hold for a while but I’m sure I’ll have lots of lovely things to blog about when I’m back. (I talk like a lot of people read my blog- I don’t know if they do but it’s nice to think someone does!)

I have the best little cousin in the world who got us tickets to see Florence and the Machine…it’s not until May though, gonna be hard waiting that long!

I love you Imogen! x
How amazingly cute is this Alice In Wonderland make up from Paul & Joe?! ASOS launch this collection on 25th February (£25), I think it’s a great way to spend the student loan personally!

Yesterday we had an illustration workshop at uni, it was all just taking it in turns to ‘model’ and doing quick one min sketches of the person. I used a technique I’d not used before which was to ink up the paper with quink ink then using a dip pen in bleach draw with the bleach, I love the effect of this! I then used a black felt pen to get the darker bits on the jeans and hat- not bad for a minute’s work! It’s not really what I’d call my ‘usual style’ when it comes to illustration, but it’s fun experimenting.

Today we chose our Inter College Assignment briefs…for those of you who don’t know companies such as YCN (book above!) and D&AD set briefs to all the Universities – they are really varied and from loads of different companies. Then everyone completes as many briefs as they like and enters them…pretty much we are competing against other students with our work.
The brief I’ve chosen to do is a Ted Baker one from YCN where we have to create some sort of window display for the Autumn season…we had a class discussion about it today and I’m really looking forward to making a start on my research
I love it when a project really motivates me!
Another project which grabbed my attention was a Penguin brief which is to design a front cover for ‘Alice In Wonderland’…amazing! So, I think I’m going to try to do this alongside the Ted Baker brief. I bought the book to read on the plane to New York, I’m not sure I’ve ever properly read the book before.
